Our May programme kicks off with another of James Tennant's wonderful cellists, Hyun Jae Lee. Hyun Jae will play a solo Bach suite, a Shostakovich concerto accompanied by Rosemary Barnes at the piano, and a cello quartet by Villa-Lobos with fellow cellists Jaydon, Ryan and Qian.
Friday 9 May
We welcome back singer/songwriter Jenna and guitarist Jack. Together they will perform an hour of mellow melodies, both original songs and covers.

Talented young violinists and pianists from the Auckland Academy of Music will play an assortment of classical pieces. With thanks to James Jin and Xing Wang.
MUSIC IN EDEN is the music arm of our longstanding community art event Artists in Eden. We offer free live music every Friday lunchtime in the beautiful Mt Eden Village Centre Church. This is a performance opportunity for musicians as well as a regular music programme for locals and music lovers to enjoy every week, all in the heart of Mt Eden Village with easy access to the local cafés and shops. Performers range from professionals to students and cover a range of musical genres from classical to contemporary. We also feature a new artwork every month by one of our artists and display the work at the performance. Entry is free - koha is welcome.
